The Gaza Strip in Waterfod Portmore was jampacked last week as the Portmore Empire led by 'The Emperor' Vybz Kartel, came to the deejay’s home community to shoot Skin Fi Burn, the first single from the newly formed Portmore Empire group.

All the members were present. Omeil, Shawn Storm, Doz-a-Medicine, Devra Brat, Nuclear, and Black Ryno. Craig Dennis, who sings the infectious hook for the song was also present and he emerged as a definite crowd favourite with his funky dressing and personality. Devra Brat also represented well as the first lieutenant of the Portmore Empire.

Perhaps the best scene was the one shot by director Nordia Rose on the second-floor shell of a half-finished building where each Empire member stepped out in turn, sometimes from behind concrete columns, to do their verses while the camera panned all around picking them up.

“It was a great shoot,” director Nordia Rose told us.

The shoot was sponsored in part by Pimp Juice Ja. Limited.
